  • Good news for LOQ from Six Flags by gretel
    Thu, 24 Oct 2013 07:06:00 GMT

The latest Q3 results and year to date numbers for Six Flags were out last night and are very good:

Extremely good news for LOQ - as noted elsewhere " the more season tickets sold means higher density attendance in the future as folks pay nothing for future visits then see how full the park is and go for the Qbot option as they have paid nothing to get in....".

"The company continued to successfully upsell guests to season passes and membership plans, and as a result, deferred revenue grew to $76 million as of September 30, 2013, an increase of $17 million or 28 percent compared to September 30, 2012. "

There's a transcript of the results conference call here:

Looks like more work will be coming LOQ's way:

"In addition to a variety of other rides, slides and shows at other parks, we are also building a huge brand-new waterpark inside our Georgia theme park. That will be called Hurricane Harbor, and we believe it will be a big success." By gretel

It has been a good season for theme parks in the US.
Six Flags is very dynamic and Lo-Q has all their business,
including accesso on ticket sales. Lo-Q ought to be
coming in with good results. By janebolacha

  • New Thorpe Park trial - looks like LOQ by gretel
    Sat, 24 Aug 2013 07:22:00 GMT

A good find from posters elsewhere re the trialling of a mobile phone reservation solution at Thorpe Park.

Merlin own Thorpe Park, so as LOQ's Q=Bot partner etc the odds are that this is LOQ.

It was trialled on the 19th and 20th, and next on 23-25 August:

The key reason that this is almost certainly LOQ, although it's not been RNS'd/announced yet, is this page:

Yes, accesso seems to be a great fit with Lo-Q's existing products.
Six Flags, Lo-Q's biggest customer (I believe), uses both accesso and Lo-Q.

Btw, Disney, which was never on Lo-Q's target list (since they seem to go for
developing their own systems) has launched a product "MyMagic+" which
seems to be offering their guests a way of pre-booking rides, although
there's no mention of a phone app for this system:

Does this prove that Lo-Q really have a winner here,
that Disney, the big boys, are playing catch-up? By janebolacha
  • Canaccord have 680p target by gretel
    Thu, 08 Aug 2013 10:41:00 GMT

Canaccord's Buy note here is from just last week, with a 680p target:

    http ://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/59683/lo-q-has-premium-business-in-accesso-says-canaccord-59683.html

"Lo-Q has premium business in accesso, says Canaccord
    By Giles Gwinnett August 02 2013, 12:06pm

"Customers typically see over a 30% jump in volume after converting to accesso’s platform," says Canaccord analyst Bob Liao

Accesso "significantly" enhances queuing specialist Lo-Q's (LON:LOQ) growth opportunities, says broker Canaccord, which repeats its 'buy' recommendation on the stock.

Lo-Q bought US ticketing and e-commerce group accesso in 2012 and the group's interims results in June showed it was performing ahead of expectations, with ticket sales up 32% year-on-year and mobile ticket sales up 90%.

"Customers typically see over a 30% jump in volume after converting to accesso’s platform," says Canaccord analyst Bob Liao.

"accesso’s service has less downtime than that of its competitors. Its SaaS architecture is highly reliable. Only an indirect competitor offers SaaS as an option," he adds.

The analyst adds that he sees an opportunity for accesso's impressive management culture to be leveraged across the group and to use its business model outside the USA.

"In addition, accesso and Lo-Q’s overlapping businesses and customer bases mean accesso is now the channel for many of Lo-Q’s sales. Management is now focused on this opportunity to further enhance sales."

The broker targets a price of 680p for the shares." By gretel
  • Re: 9% down ! by janebolacha
    Tue, 23 Jul 2013 16:28:00 GMT

Yes, the spread is huge and the daily movements seem senseless and with never much volume to explain them. I was expecting a fall of some sort after Six Flags, Lo-Q's biggest customer in the US, posted poor Q2/13 figures:

" Monday, July 22, 8:23 AM Shares of Six Flags (SIX) sink 4.83% premarket as the amusement park operator's Q2 results come up short of estimates. Not helping matters is a death reported Friday evening at the company's Arlington, Texas park. Comment! [Consumer, On the Move]
Monday, July 22, 8:06 AM Six Flags (SIX): Q2 EPS of $0.47 misses by $0.05. Revenue of $363.7M misses by $6.3M. (PR) 1 Comment [Earnings, Breaking N" (from "seeking alpha").

With the wide spread and low volumes, this is definitely one to hold and look at only from time to time. It's a great little company with a tremendous product but schizophrenic swings. By janebolacha

  • Midas share tip by share 123 maiden
    Tue, 09 Jul 2013 08:25:00 GMT

Shares of Lo-Q, the designer of the queuing technology which allows a user to make full use of his time without having to keep his place - physically - waiting in a queue, have vaulted 50% higher in the last six months. That follows on an impressive run last year. For businesses, it provides an important new revenue generator for those running at or near capacity. The success of the technology is such that its broker - Canaccord - sees sales jumping to £42.4m next year from an estimated £38.7m this year. Nevertheless, on most valuation metrics the shares look more than a little pricey and are now changing hands at 30 times this year's earnings forecasts. Its Chief Executive Officer, however, is adamant that the best still lies ahead for the company, as the potential impact on both the top and bottom line from entry to new markets hasn't been factored into those numbers. More importantly, longer-term this is a play on the unfolding mobile phone revolution and the ability of Lo-Q's technology to bust queues of any description. Sit back and enjoy the ride says The Financial Mail on Sunday's Midas column.

  • LOQ
    Wed, 03 Apr 2013 22:24:44 GMT

Lo-Q is seeing continued momentum in the new business pipeline and has invested further in patent portfolio. H1 trading is in line with market expectations, although revenues are seasonally weighted to H2 and management is confident it can meet market expectations for the full year. Lo-Q is expanding coverage of its virtual queuing products, and broadening revenues geographically. We believe the accesso deal provides significant opportunities to develop additional revenue streams. Hence, while the stock trades on c 37x our maintained FY13 EPS, there continues to be excellent progress and plenty of avenues for upgrades.
